gatecreation episodes challenge. Apologies to George Lucas and anyone else who owns the rights to the Indiana Jones franchise. No monies were made with this bit of silliness, and I doubt most people will even see the connection.
A million different trains of thought whirred through Radek’s head as he suited up for his mission. He knew, of course, that no one else was as qualified as he for the job. It had been his idea, and he was the only one who could implement it with any certainty. At first he’d wanted to simply walk someone through it from the safety of the city, but there was no way to be certain that radio contact could be maintained.
For a second, a vindictive thought pushed the others aside and Radek thought that Rodney wasn’t worth the effort. He’d sent Radek to a planet full of children just to torment him.
The second passed, though, and he reminded himself that if anyone in the city was worth the effort it was Rodney.
Radek’s plan would work; it had to work. And he had to be the one to make it work.
Still, as he followed Colonel Sheppard into the jumper, Radek sighed and thought to himself.
Why did it have to be water? I hate water.
