If Nikola’s mother could see him now, it would break her heart. (As it is, she’s probably rolling over in her grave.)
“Niko,” she’d say, shaking her head. “Do you remember nothing I taught you? You were such a good boy. What happened, Niko? Where did I go wrong?”
Of course, Nikola isn’t thinking of his mother right now. He isn’t thinking of much, really. Just how good Raya feels on top of him, how tight she always is, the little thrill he gets taking her virginity again and again each time they do this. His hands run restlessly over her skin, leaving tiny tracks of electricity he almost thinks he can actually see, bright blue, glowing, just under her the surface.
Because he’s inside her, in more ways than one. Under her skin and in her head and (he suspects) creeping into her heart, pumping through her blood.
And he dives into her, any way he can, with touches and kisses and words.
And he doesn’t think of his mother. Not once. Because living in sin is so much better than the alternative.
