Two reasons for this post.
One: I said in my userinfo that I might post recs here, and I have yet to do that. My very first rec has got to be for
sheafrotherdon's fantastic A Farm in Iowa series. It's brilliant. I lived for several years in a small town in eastern Montana, very near to my grandparents' farm. This series makes me want to go back so very badly.
Two: Yesterday, two friends and I took a little road trip up to Vancouver. We don't have the money to actually go to the Creation convention, but we did score tickets to the A Dog's Breakfast screening. It was awesome. And David and Jane and John Lenic were marvelous during the Q&A. They had to rush off right afterwards as David said he was scheduled to do a 10 hour day today with just McKay in a puddlejumper, so there was no chance to actually speak to him, but I am more than satisfied to be able to say that I have been in the same room as David Hewlett. *tries to hide the grin that would cause co-workers to fear for her sanity*
