I once tried to watch just a bit of P&P with a friend during finals week.
Unfortunately(?), we hit the "point of no return" and ended up watching the whole thing.
Making Rodney into Darcy was the most natural construction I could find for this. I also take perverse pleasure in deliberately not pairing Rodney with John. Plus, Lorne has that little bit of snark that's necessary in Elizabeth.
Anyhow, all that is just to say that I'm glad you liked it, and if I could've fit in Colin Firth with a wet shirt, I would have.
I was fortunate enough to see the actual shirt from the wet shirt scene at the British Costume Museum in Bath a few years ago. *sigh* It was one of the highlights of my trip :).
