Author’s Notes: written for the gatecreation episodes challenge.





Carson’s heart pounded in his chest as he fought to calm himself down. It was all over now. The danger had passed. He looked across the ‘jumper at Rodney and saw that his friend was riding an adrenalin high as well. Facing down a Wraith commander, even from within the ‘jumper was a frightening experience, and they shared a weak smile over their escape.

Carson would never admit it, but even after everything he’d been through since coming to Atlantis, he’d never been as frightened as when he’d looked into Ronon’s face seconds before being pulled into a bone-crushing hug.
