You don't get to name anything...ever

Okay, so this Saturday, some friends and I are having a Stargate party. That is, a party in which we catch up on the ends of seasons 3 and 10 of Atlantis and SG-1 respectively.

For said party, one of my friends and her husband are making what they have dubbed a "Gate Cake" (it's a cake, it's shaped like the gate, "gate cake"). Her husband has l33t (and previously latent) cake-decorating skillz due to his mom having made fancy cakes when he was little and enlisting his help in decorating them.

Apparently, this cake is made of awesome. They did a practise run last weekend. I maintain that if the cake is made of awesome (to be served with awesome sauce, no doubt), it needs a better name than "Gate Cake". However, despite my innate creativity, I have been completely unable to come up with a better name for said cake.

So here is my challenge to you all: Name that cake! Regardless of where you fall on the gateship/puddlejumper divide, you must agree that a cake this cool deserves a better name. Give me suggestions!

My friend and I will pick the name we think is the most creative/awesome from suggestions received before Saturday, June 16th at 15:00 Pacific Time (I can never remember if we're daylight or standard). That's -7 GMT, I believe. So 22:00 GMT.

Because my muse is finicky, and I don't want to give you something I just pulled out of the land of craptastic crap about Kavanaugh/giant squid, I'm going to place the following limitations on pairings:

-no McShep, Sheppard/Weir or Sheppard/Teyla (I'm just not sure I could do it justice)
-no Lorne/Kavanaugh or Lorne/Sheppard
-no femmeslash (I like it well enough, but I suck at writing it)
-no Michael/anyone or Wraith/anyone

Other than that, pick anything you want. :) I haven't ventured outside of SGA fic very much, but I could possibly do a crossover with either SG-1 or Torchwood, and I might also be able to swing a strictly SG-1 fic.

I may decide to do smaller fics for the first three runners-up. Probably in the 2-300 word range.

I will definitely be bringing my digital camera to the Stargate party, so with any luck there will be pictures.

Once upon a time we had a dual birthday party for Frodo and Bilbo, and we made a cake for that and took lots of pictures, so I'm sure there will be no lack of photographic evidence. I may even do a short photo essay of the cake in its various stages of destruction.

How about "kfitzat uga", the jump cake. Related to the Hebrew idea of teleportation, and it works for Dune too. If someone knows Hebrew you could even write it in frosting on the cake, in the place of the ancient symbols on the gate.
