The envelope, please.
The party was a success. Food was consumed and the end of an era witnessed *wipes away single tear*.
I received an overwhelming response to my request for names, and the decision was a difficult one.
In the end we called it:
Torte of the Ancients with Chappai'icing

Which means that the winners were
debris_k and
cosmonaut_elf. Congratulations!
We also chose three runners-up (in no particular order):
catherfina for "Starcake SG-1"
kaziwren for "Kree!"
eotu for "Gate"au
The winners will receive custom fics of at least 500 words, and the runners-up will receive custom fics of at least 250 words.
So, winners and runners-up, please reply to this post with a)three prompts b)up to two genres you'd like to see c)up to three things you don't want and d)your chosen pairing.
And as a quick reminder of things I can't/won't write:
-no McShep, Sheppard/Weir or Sheppard/Teyla (I'm just not sure I could do it justice)
-no Lorne/Kavanaugh or Lorne/Sheppard
-no femmeslash (I like it well enough, but I suck at writing it)
-no Michael/anyone or Wraith/anyone
Thanks to everyone who participated in this silly, little excercise. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.
Oh, for anyone who's interested, we also had:

Jaffa cakes!
ETA: For any interested parties, the cake was a simple boxed cake mix. The frosting was plain white frosting with various food coloring added. (I believe they used black with a bit of blue for the gate itself.) And this is the recipe for the Jaffa cakes:
1 cup sugar
1 cup lard (I used vegetable shortening)
1 cup molasses
1 cup cold water
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
dash of pepper
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
flour enough to roll out
Roll rather thick for soft cookie. Sprinkle with sugar and bake at 450 degrees for 5 minutes.
This is the recipe as I got it from my mom. "Flour enough to roll out" is always more than I think it will be (way, way more), and it makes 5-6 dozen (read: lots and lots of cookies). Lately, I've been adding slightly less flour than you'd need to roll them and have shaped them into balls instead and flattened them with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar. It seems to work very well and is much less time-consuming than rolling out the dough and cutting them all out.

You didn't mention if the cake was good ;-)

And the cake was very, very tasty. We actually saved it for yesterday and had it as a pre-birthday, birthday cake for me :). My tongue is still a little blue this morning.

Also, the Jaffa cakes *killed* me! *vbg*
Now, to choose, to choose... hmmm...
a)three prompts
- well, I'm in the mood for fluffy schmoopy things like comfort, tvu luv, love&understanding... yes yes, I make myself barf from all the sugar too. ;-P So: comfort, understanding, first kiss. Or. Something like that. *pulls face at self*
b)up to two genres you'd like to see
- slash and slash? and romance? *enticing grin*
c)up to three things you don't want
- partner ridicule or put-down in any way, shape or form; established relationship issues; harcore kink in sex (daddy/son, BDSM, the like)
and d)your chosen pairing
- I'd *love* to say Rodney/Aiden Ford (pre-enzyme), 'cause I've never read anything of the sort, but I don't expect miracles in 500 words :-) so I'll settle for Rodney/Ronon (or Rodney/Radek, if the Czech is easier for you).
Also, if the cake & cookie recipies are anywhere near vegan-izable, could I have them please?

I'll try to have all the fics done by the end of the month, but I may go a bit longer than that. I'll comment here to let you know when yours is finished.
The cake itself was from a box, so I'd imagine that some sort of egg-substitute would be all that is needed to vegan-ize it. I added the cookie recipe to the post. I used vegetable shortening instead of lard when I made them, and other than that, I think the recipe actually already is vegan (though, as I'm not actually vegan, I could be mistaken). :)

Three prompts: 1.Carson is hurt, but survives with the help of Ronon. 2. What Ronon feels after another of his loves, Carson, has been killed. 3. How Ronon and Carson live happily ever after because Sunday never happened. :)
Two generes: Hurt/Comfort or Angst
Three things I don't want: 1. A story centered on John or Rodney. 2. No stupid/insipid/weak Carson. 3. No Ronon as a caveman type.
Chosen pairing: I think you'd know by now, but I'd love Ronon/Carson.
Thank you so very much. :)

I'm hoping to have them all finished by the end of the month, and I'll comment here to let you know when yours is finished.

1.Rain, blood, off-world accident (preferably lots of Carson whumping)
2.Couple is captured by whoever and have to escape.
3.Mpreg! With something going wrong (of course!)
Two genres:
h/c, action
3 things I don't want:
1.Lots of fluff
2.Death (it can come close, but I want them to liiiiveeee!!!) :)
3.Bondage (except when captured) and all that dominatrix stuff (or whatever you call it with men)
Chosen pairing:
Beckett/Lorne (or Beckett/Dex if you can't write Lorne)
*laughs* I'm not so good with the prompts, but I definantly want whump. Hmm. I might be a little messed up... :D

And I can definitely do Lorne. Lorne is my go-to fic guy. I sometimes wonder if I can write not-Lorne ;).
I'm hoping to have all the fics done by the end of the month, and I'll comment here to let you know when yours is finished.
