So I thought this might be a little interesting thing to do:
Take the first sentence (or 2) from the first story posted of each month of 2007. That's your fic year in review.
January
In the fifteen years he’d been in the Air Force, he’d heard many reasons for joining. The most popular, but least often true was, “For the women,” or, if you were talking to a female officer, “For the men.”
February
The decision to make Atlantis his permanent home had been a difficult one for Ronon. Seven years is a very, very long time to spend with no ties to anyone or any place
March
Evan stepped out onto the balcony, ignoring the bitter wind that sliced at his skin, stinging his eyes, and giving him an excuse for the tears he could feel gathering.
April
It always struck him as odd how familiar it all seemed.
May
The door to the infirmary burst open. Or, well, it would have burst open if it could. Actually it just sort of whished open.
June
She watches as he is moved, carefully, painstakingly (probably painfully, though there is no way to tell for sure) from the infirmary bed to the gurney.
July
“Jenson, this is Lorne, come in please.” There’s no response, but Lorne isn’t surprised. He can barely hear his own voice over the roar of rainfall. “Jenson! This is Lorne, do you copy?”
August
He’d known it would be strange. How could it not be? But he hadn’t expected to feel this...revulsion.
September
“Major!”
They’re on their way to work one morning when Ianto hears the shout like a whip-crack across the deserted Plass. He barely has time to wonder where it came from before Evan’s left hand grabs the lapel of his waistcoat and he is pulled downwards so roughly that his knees slam hard into the pavement.
October
When Ianto comes home, he can hear Lorne in the kitchen. He takes off his jacket and shoes, loosens his tie and goes to see what Lorne is making.
November
He’d been convinced that it wasn’t done on purpose. Jack flirted with everyone.
No, really. Everyone.
Sadly, I have not yet written anything in December. I've got a couple things I'd like to do though.
